Frequently asked questions
Everything about JobSense in one place: how scoring works, what happens to your CV, how plans and refunds are handled, and what to do when something looks wrong. If an answer is missing, ask us and we will add it.
JobSense basics
What the product is, who it is for, and how to start.
JobSense is an AI career platform that shows how close your CV is to a specific job before you apply. It scores the match, explains the gaps in plain language, and helps you rewrite your CV, build a new one, and draft a cover letter for that role. It is an optimisation and orientation tool: it improves how your application reads, it does not place you in a job.
Anyone applying to roles where a CV is screened before a human reads it: career starters, people changing industry or country, and experienced candidates sending many applications. You do not need recruiting knowledge, because every score comes with the reasoning behind it.
No. You can run a public Quick Match without registering: upload a CV, add a job post, and read the score. An account is needed to keep results, to use CV Tailor, CV Make and Cover Letter, and to receive job recommendations.
Upload your CV, let JobSense extract a structured Profile from it, review and correct what it read, then run Quick Match against a job you care about. From that result you can open CV Tailor and see a rewrite plan for that specific role.
No. JobSense helps your application match a role more closely and read more clearly, but it does not place candidates, does not contact employers on your behalf, and does not promise interviews. Hiring decisions stay entirely with the employer.
The interface is available in English, German, Turkish, French, Spanish, Dutch, Arabic, Italian and Polish, including a right-to-left layout for Arabic. You can switch language from the footer on the web or in the mobile app, and the language is part of the page address so you can bookmark or share a specific version. Legal documents are published in German, which is the binding version.
Quick Match and the Match Score
How scoring works, what it means, and what it does not mean.
Quick Match compares one CV against one job post and returns a Match Score together with the reasoning: which requirements you already cover, which keywords are missing, and where your experience is thin for that particular role.
The score combines keyword coverage, skill alignment, experience fit and overall role relevance for the exact post you submitted. Each result lists your strongest matches and your biggest gaps, so you can see what actually moved the number instead of only seeing a figure.
No. It simulates the screening signals that applicant tracking systems commonly rely on. Employers run many different systems with their own configuration and their own weightings, so treat the score as guidance on coverage and readability, not as a copy of the employer's internal result.
For signed-in users the first complete AI result for an unchanged CV, profile, job and scoring context is kept as the canonical result and reused, so repeated runs stay consistent. A new score is produced when your base profile, the job-bound tailored snapshot, the job post itself, or the scoring logic changes.
Yes. The public flow asks you to accept the Quick Match consent document first, because your CV text and the job post are sent into an AI workflow. You decide whether to provide an email address. A public submission expires after its active analysis window unless you link it to an account.
Free and anonymous runs have a short cooling-off period if you submit the same CV and the same job again, which prevents accidental duplicate scoring. Paid plans are not subject to that block and can re-score as often as needed.
Yes. You can paste the job description or provide the job URL and let JobSense read the post. Some career sites block automated reading, and in that case pasting the text is the reliable route.
CV Tailor, CV Make and Cover Letter
The tools that turn a score into documents you can send.
CV Tailor turns a Match Score into a concrete rewrite plan for one job: which sections to change, which wording to strengthen, and which missing keywords are worth adding honestly. You review each suggestion and decide what to accept.
No. Accepted changes are saved as a separate tailored snapshot bound to that specific job. Your base profile is left as it is, so a rewrite for one role never silently changes what you send to another.
CV Make builds a formatted CV from your Profile using selectable templates, so you get a clean document without editing layout by hand. It reads the same profile data that Quick Match and CV Tailor use, which keeps everything consistent.
It drafts a letter from your Profile and the target job and matches the tone to the role. The draft is a starting point: read it, correct the facts, and make it sound like you before you send it anywhere.
Yes, and you should. AI output is probabilistic and can misread a date, overstate a skill or invent a detail. Nothing is submitted anywhere automatically, so you always review and edit first. You remain responsible for what you send to an employer.
CV Tailor, CV Make, Cover Letter and paid checkout require a verified email address. Onboarding itself is not blocked, so you can build your Profile first and verify before you use the generators. Accounts created with Google, Apple or LinkedIn are verified automatically.
Profile, CV upload and ATS analysis
How your CV is read, corrected and stored.
CV upload accepts PDF. Profile photos can be uploaded separately as JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB. Other supporting files belong in additional documents, which accept more formats.
Uploaded CV pages are read with OCR running on JobSense infrastructure, and CV text is not sent to an external OCR provider. Embedded PDF text layers are deliberately not used, because some export tools produce broken character maps that would quietly corrupt your profile.
Yes. Extraction is a starting point, not a final record. Open your Profile and correct experience, education, skills and contact details. The corrected version is what every later score, rewrite and generated document reads.
If your CV contains a photo it can be extracted into your Profile. Every profile photo, whether extracted from a CV or uploaded manually, is checked by an external content-moderation service before it is stored, and images flagged as unacceptable are rejected and never saved. Profile photos are the only user image that leaves JobSense infrastructure; CV text is not sent out for reading.
ATS analysis looks at how machine-readable your CV and Profile are: structure, section naming, keyword coverage and formatting choices that commonly break automated parsing. It tells you what to fix before a screening system ever sees the document.
Optional attachments on your Profile such as references, certificates, transcripts or portfolio files, in PDF, DOCX, JPG or PNG up to 10 MB each. They are private to your account, delivered only through authenticated requests, and are not fed into AI workflows automatically. You can rename or delete them at any time; deletion is permanent.
Job recommendations and the daily digest
Where listings come from and how the daily email works.
JobSense matches collected job listings against your Profile and refreshes the list roughly once a day. Paid plans additionally get new listings auto-scored, so the ones worth opening are already ranked when you arrive.
Recommendations need a complete enough Profile and a finished refresh cycle. If you registered recently, complete onboarding, set your target role and location preferences, and check again after the next daily refresh.
Quick Match and CV Tailor work with any job post you paste or link, in any market and any country. Job recommendations depend on the sources JobSense collects from, so coverage is deeper in some regions than in others and keeps expanding.
One email a day summarising new listings that fit your Profile. It is sent only to accounts with a confirmed email address, and it uses the same data as the "New jobs today" widget on your Dashboard, so the email and the app always agree.
Paid plans see Match Scores for the new listings inside the email. On the free plan the digest points you to Quick Match instead of showing scores.
Every digest email has a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. Opening it records your choice and stops all future digests for your account. You can also turn it off in Settings at any time.
Listings are collected from third-party sources and employer sites. Those sources can be incomplete, can change without notice, or can leave a filled role online, so always confirm on the employer's own page before you rely on a listing. If you find a broken or stale entry, report it with the link.
Apply with JobSense
The application agent: current status and what to prepare.
A browser agent that completes application forms for jobs you select, using your Profile, CV and cover letter. You choose the roles and prepare the answers; the agent handles the repetitive form work and reports back.
It is still under development and is being introduced gradually. The service page explains what it will do and what you can prepare now, so treat any availability in your account as an early stage of that rollout rather than a finished feature.
No. You select the roles and the agent uses only the materials you approved. Progress is reported to your Dashboard and by email so you can follow every step, and you remain responsible for reviewing what was submitted.
Credentials needed for an application portal are encrypted at rest and used only for the application you started. They are not displayed back to you afterwards and are not shared with unrelated third parties.
Keep your Profile current, have the CV and cover letter versions you want the agent to use ready, and pre-answer the common screening questions. The better those inputs are, the fewer decisions automation has to guess at later.
Plans, billing and refunds
What each plan includes, how to pay, change, cancel and get money back.
A Quick Match score with a basic gap read, one CV upload, standard processing and a short match history. It is enough to test one role and decide whether deeper tailoring is worth paying for.
Both unlock CV Tailor rewrite plans, unlimited Quick Match scores, a deeper keyword and gap breakdown, priority processing, unlimited match history and priority support. Pro is aimed at higher-volume searches where speed, continuity and fewer limits matter most.
Web upgrades run through a Stripe-hosted checkout. JobSense creates the session on the server and never handles your card details itself. Which payment methods appear depends on Stripe configuration, the supported currency and your region.
Purchases in the iOS and Android apps go through the App Store and Google Play. JobSense verifies every purchase directly with Apple or Google from the server before unlocking a plan, so a store notification on its own never grants access.
Yes. If you subscribed on the web, change the plan in Settings: upgrades apply immediately and downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. If you subscribed inside the mobile app, change it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings instead.
Cancel a web subscription in Settings. Your paid access continues to the end of the current billing period and the account then returns to Free; cancelling is not the same as a refund. A subscription bought inside the mobile app must be cancelled in the App Store or Google Play, because JobSense cannot cancel a store-billed subscription for you.
For subscriptions paid on the web, EU consumer law gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal starting when the subscription is activated, and no reason is required. An approved refund ends the subscription immediately and returns the account to Free, and the money goes back to the original payment method. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple or Google under their own rules. The refund policy page is the binding text.
JobSense always re-checks a subscription directly with the store instead of trusting the app, so the plan appears once the store confirms it. Payments on hold, paused subscriptions and unacknowledged Google Play purchases do not grant access. If the store shows an active subscription and JobSense still does not after reopening the app, contact support with the store receipt.
Paid checkout requires a verified email address, acceptance of the current terms, and an actual upgrade rather than a sideways or downward change. If a new version of the terms is waiting for you, accept it first and the checkout unlocks.
Your account always uses the highest active entitlement across every billing source, and Settings shows which source it came from. Paying twice does not stack, so cancel the one you no longer want in the same channel where you bought it.
Account and sign-in
Registration, social login, verification and deletion.
Register with an email address and a password, or use Google, Apple or LinkedIn sign-in where those providers are enabled.
Yes, when those providers are enabled. The provider email is used for account access and may be different from the contact address written inside your CV or Profile, which is intentional: one is how you sign in, the other is how employers reach you.
Social sign-in can create an account without a password. Open Settings and set one to add a second way in. This does not change the email address stored in your CV or Profile.
Verification protects paid checkout and the generation tools, and it is required before the daily digest is sent. Onboarding is deliberately not blocked by it. Accounts created with Google, Apple or LinkedIn are verified automatically.
Check the spam folder and any address alias you may have used, then resend from Settings. Resending is rate-limited, so wait for the cooldown before trying again. If it still does not arrive, contact support with the address you registered.
Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen and follow the emailed link. If your account has no password yet because you used social sign-in, set one from Settings instead of using the reset flow.
Permanent deletion is in Settings on the web and under Profile in the mobile app. It removes your profile data, uploads and subscription mirror; accounts with a password confirm with that password first, and legally required audit references are anonymised rather than kept. A subscription billed by the App Store or Google Play must also be cancelled in the store, because deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription.
Yes. Contact support with your request for a copy of your data, and see the section on privacy rights below for the full list of what you can ask for.
Privacy, data and security
Who can see your CV, what leaves the platform, and how long data is kept.
No. JobSense does not publish your CV, does not send it to employers or recruiters, and does not sell career data. Your documents are visible to your own account only.
No. CV and job submissions are treated as your workflow data, not as training examples for public model improvement.
Only to the service providers needed to run the product, under contract and for that purpose alone: the AI provider that generates scores and rewrites, Stripe for web payments, Apple and Google for in-app purchases, Cloudflare for abuse protection, and analytics tags where they are enabled and you consented. CV text is not sent to an external reading service, and nothing is sold. The privacy notice lists the processing in full.
Traffic between your device and JobSense uses encrypted transport, and stored workflow data is protected by infrastructure-level security controls including storage encryption practices. Access to operational tooling is restricted to authorised roles. The security overview describes the controls in more detail.
Public Quick Match submissions expire after their active analysis window unless you link them to an account. Data inside an account, such as your profile, job-bound snapshots and generated documents, is kept while the workflow needs it. Consent records and operational audit data can be kept longer where compliance requires it. The privacy notice is the binding text.
Registration, sign-in and the public Quick Match form are protected against automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. It does not set tracking cookies and is not used for advertising or cross-site profiling. If no key is configured for an installation, those forms submit without a challenge.
Use "Manage cookies" in the footer to reopen the consent dialogue and change your choices whenever you want. Analytics tags load only when a container is configured for the installation and you have consented.
Contact support with a request for access, correction, portability, restriction, objection or erasure, and we will handle it under the applicable data protection law. The privacy notice sets out the legal bases and your rights in full.
Send the details to support: what you found, where, and how to reproduce it. Please do not test against other people's accounts or data, and give us a reasonable window to fix the issue before disclosing it publicly.
Mobile app
Using JobSense on iOS and Android.
Yes. JobSense is available as a native app for iOS and Android alongside the web app.
Yes. One account, one profile, one history. Work you start on the web continues in the app and the other way round, and the app is available in the same nine languages.
The core workflow is: Quick Match, CV Tailor, CV Make, Cover Letter, documents, applications and profile editing. Some administrative and long-form pages, including the legal documents, open in the browser instead.
Support and troubleshooting
What to check first and how to reach a human.
Check the live status page first, which reports the health of the main services. If everything is green, sign out and back in, then contact support with the page you were on and roughly when it happened.
Use the contact form or write to the support address shown on the contact page. Include your account email, what you were trying to do and what happened instead: concrete details get you a useful answer far faster.
Support is handled by email, and the response target depends on your plan — the plan comparison on the pricing page lists the target for each tier, with paid plans answered ahead of free ones. Billing and access problems are always picked up first.
Tell support which job and which result, and what you expected instead. AI output is advisory and can be wrong; concrete examples are exactly what makes the scoring better.

If your question is not answered here, send it to us. We answer every message and we add the genuinely useful questions to this page.
This page explains how JobSense works in everyday language. Where it touches contractual or legal matters, the Terms, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are the binding documents.
